Food lovers, get ready! Shane Delia is bringing the vibrant flavours of Malta directly to your screens with his new SBS Food series, Shane Delia’s Malta. Premiering 24 November 2025 at 8:00pm, the six-part series is an intimate journey through Malta’s rich culinary heritage, its history, and the stories behind its most beloved dishes.

In this series, Shane explores Malta in all its dimensions; from coastal fishing villages to historic cities and the island of Gozo. Each episode highlights local ingredients, traditional recipes, and unique culinary techniques passed down through generations. Expect dishes like red wine braised octopus (Stuffat tal-quarnit), Maltese rice with pork sausage, corned beef and potato patties, and Nannu Delia’s braised rabbit. These are not just recipes; they are narratives of Malta’s cultural and culinary evolution.

Shane also uncovers the hidden influences of Malta’s past, the Phoenicians, Arabs, British, and the Knights of Malta, all leaving their mark on the island’s flavours and cooking styles.
